O型圈是一种橡胶密封圈，其横截面为圆形(也叫O形)，一般安装在内圆或外圆上的截面为矩形的沟槽内起密封作用。作为一种用途广泛的密封件，其具有制造方便、功能保障、安装简单和价格低廉等众多优势。

O型圈的国家标准是GB3452.1-92，此外还有日标JISB2401，美标AS568，德标DIN3771及国际标准ISO3601-1-2012等。

工作压力范围为0-30MPa，工作速度小于等于15m/s，工作温度范围-55~250℃，硬度标准范围70~90度，可适用于液压油、气、水、酸、原油、泥浆、乳化液等各种介质。

硬度选择：

O型圈的硬度值在40～90IRHD范围内，通常多采用70IRHD这个硬度，个别如VMQ使用60IRHD。硬度高的话，安装会非常不方便，但是硬度过低虽然安装是方便了，但是比较容易出现安装损坏，产品剥落挤出甚至压力爆炸等问题。
